Drippy diapers, ear infections and rice cereal

We had quite the week and weekend, if you can guess from the title of this blog. Jared and I took Chloe on her first long car trip to go see her grandparents in Williamsburg, Va. Before we left for the trip we were starting to question if Chloe was developing reflux from her abundant spit up and her lack of interest in eating. However, once we arrived in Williamsburg, it didn't take long for her other end to join the party. Jared picked her up out of her high chair on Sunday and she actually dripped. Fun. She repeated this feat in her carseat on the trip home. More fun.

Needless to say, our first priority of Monday was to take her to the doctor. Not only did she have some sort of stomach/GI bug, but the congestion in her nose and throat made the doctor look in her ears. Ding ding ding. Ear infection. We have been hibernating indoors for the last two days while she recovers. Jared is jealous of her pink, bubble gum medicine. She will return to daycare tomorrow.

Our other exciting event was her first experience with "solid" food. The doctor recommended it to see if it would help her diapers become, um, not drippy. She wasn't too sure about it, but handled it better tonight than last night. Video below is from her first night of eating.

Hopefully our lives will become a little less eventful over the next week!

This is how Chloe eats of late. We don't know if she feels sorry for herself because she feels bad, or if she's just a drama queen.

Cute girl getting ready to go to the store.

Am I supposed to like this stuff?
