Cupcake Princess

Today marked the beginning of Jared's new career! For those of you who don't already know, Jared is now working with Ticketmaster as support for their Ticketing/Development software. We are both very excited about his new job and his new career path, as it seems to suit him better personality-wise! We are also excited about the new job perks, which include tickets to various events around the Triangle! We have already been forced to decide how to spend this upcoming Friday night. Our original plan was to go to the ballet (yeah!!!) and see the Nutcracker with Jared's sister, Alyson, who is flying in for the holidays. Today, Jared found out he could also get us Hurricanes tickets (also yeah!) for Friday night. Jared then proceeded to inform me that Alyson has never seen the Nutcracker, and was not a "cupcake princess" like I was when I was younger. I was pleasantly surprised to see that in Jared's mind, I had graduated from a SugarPlum Fairy to a Cupcake Princess. BTW, please feel free to comment on which outing you think we should attend.

You wouldn't believe it from today's 70+ temps, but last week it was so cold the water in our birdbath froze! Enjoy these pictures of Dixon trying to eat/pick up the large piece of ice! We finally broke it down to a smaller size for him!
