Ah, yes, the day long awaited since the start of basketball season....the UNC/Duke game. Having not only graduated from UNC but working there now as well, you can feel the excitement in the air on a day like today. BEAT DOOK is displayed on all the public transportation, doctors/staff are wearing the UNC apparel, and old men on the bus are talking about how this team will never compare to the teams that played when they were at school here. Like I said you can sense the excitement everywhere you go.

Here in the mestler home, we will be forgoing Jared's probable favorite show of all time, Scrubs, in order to watch the game (which by the way is one of the funniest shows on television). I, too, will be relinquishing my rights to the remote during my usual American Idol screening. And despite the fact that my alarm will go off at 5:15 tomorrow morning, I will stay up to watch the entire game. So if we lose, I wont only be bitter but I'll be bitter and pissed tomorrow, since I'll be extra tired.

That's about all the excitement happening in the mestler home tonight. Jared doesnt feel well, which has seriously probably only happened 6-9 times in the 2.75 years we've been married. He is milkin it, which I would be too. Dixon the dog is as crazy as ever, and is playing that fun game where he whines to go outside, we let him out, then he barks till we open the door and he runs away. I'll post a picture of him beside the hole he proudly dug in the backyard so you can see how crazy the dog truly is. It is never ending excitement here in the mestler home...wish you could join us.
