Here we go, here we go now

Crazy times people, crazy times here! We are about start week 18 of Amanda's pregnancy and we feel like things are really starting to roll. Last weekend we got two car seats(or chairs for cars as my brother in-law calls them), three car seat bases and a stroller for the little one. My brother and his wife are helping us out a lot by letting us use so much of their stuff from my cute little niece Belle! Thanks Belle!!!

We are very excited because we will be finding out what this little child is on January 28th at 2pm!!! If everyone was reading back in September you will know that I can blog from my BlackBerry and so I will be able to let everyone know then! No matter what it is, Amanda and I are both really really excited to just know what this little thing is!

There are many things that I have noticed that I do on a fairly regular basis that I need to be more careful about. I don't curse but you know, my language could be nicer so that I don't make a horrible impression on this kid. I will need to stop doing things like licking the outside of the jelly jar after making sandwiches and noticing that some of the jelly has dripped on the outside. Or burping in public, which Amanda will like. Oh and even though I have been training for this for the past 27 years, I will have to really buckle down and eat my veggies.

There is one big thing that we do have to figure out here in the Mestler household. Our sleeping arrangement is as follows. If you are standing at the foot of the bed and looking toward the head of the bed, I sleep on the right, Amanda sleeps on the left, and Dixon...well he sleeps everywhere. That is the issue. Once Amanda really starts getting big and needs pillows and other things in bed, there will be less space for me and the dog. Now for everyone out there the easy solution would be kick Dixon out of the bed, but that has failed for the past three years so I might be sleeping in the bedroom next door if someone(Dixon) doesn't get his act together!

I do have to say this has been a crazy time for both of us but we are very thankful for our family and friends and most of all God for kicking our butt every now and then reminding us that he will and is providing. Thank you all for your prayers and support thus far. We are excited about this addition to our family and being able to have this addition join in this family of our friends.

Till next time everyone! -J
