Jared and I had an interesting experience last night. Forced to attend due to a good work mingling event for Jared, we attended the NC State/FSU basketball game. Now, since Jared's in tight with the ticketmaster people, the box seats and the free food were awesome. Not so awesome was that after he called me at work at around 3 to tell me we needed to attend (which I was actually pretty excited about, until...) I was offered tickets to the UNC/Georgia Tech game at the dean dome. I am talking like 15 minutes in between the two conversations, here. I immediately called Jared and asked if it was mandatory we attend, to which he replied that he had to go to the State game, but I could go to the UNC game. Not wanting to cheer alone, we found ourselves in the RBC center watching State demolish Florida State. The second best thing about the game (besides the free tickets, food and drink) was the fact that they had a television showing the UNC game inside the box. I was glued to that for the majority of our stay. As one of Jared's tickemaster friends remarked, I think we have a die-hard fan here. Yes, yes we do. And can I just say how amazing Tyler Hansbrough is. He may be my new boyfriend( this goes back to the day when Melissa and I were talking about who we would date on the Carolina bball team, to which I replied Raymond Felton, of course, which made Jared look at me in amazement and say, Excuse me, did you forget you're married?).
Hope everyone is having a good week. We have watched curling almost every night this week, to Jared's enjoyment. We realized tonight we actually do not know anything about the game, b/c when one of Sweden's players knocked one of our balls? stones? out of the bulls-eye, leaving four of our stones and only one of theirs at the end of the quarter? set?, they got a point and we got nothing. Now how does that make sense?
Now to the request that Jared and I sign our individual comments on this joint blog. Knowing that we would both contribute, and since you can only pick one name to officially "sign" your blog with, we picked Mestler. I felt that everyone would know who was writing by the name calling of the significant other (i.e, i am writing this entry, therefore I refer to my spouse as Jared). Jared, on the other hand, wanted to sign them individually. I thought I had won, but as always, I thought wrong. I aint bitter though, and we dont want to confuse those who cannot tell our writing styles apart. Therefore, thanks for reading, and have a good, and cold weekend.--Amanda:)
