In the tried and true position of, "Everyone else is doing it...", we post our very first comment on our blog. We have no pictures of small babies to share, no daily track of an exciting adventure, just our daily lives, which we think are pretty darn humorous at times.
A lot of the posts to come will be in reference to our largest purchase to date, our first home. While very exciting and nerve-wracking, it has also been one of the most stressful times in our marriage. When you are promising to pay thousands and thousands of dollars on something you have spent a total of 2.5 hours in to date, it gets a little stressful. Plus, as I experienced first hand tonight while meeting with our lender, the percentages and interest rates and APR's and etc. start to mold together in your head to form one big, mush-like cloud in your brain. Mad props to lenders and bankers and people that do this stuff daily and in your head like our lender. We are both anti-math...heaven help our children when they get to fun subjects in school like pre-algebra and calculus.
On a brighter and more exciting note, we are off to watch Grey's Anatomy, which we taped last night, and cant wait to finally figure out what "code black" is. Last week during the previews for this week's show, Jared, thinking he had it figured out, grabbed my work badge and flipped it over to see what code black really was. We are hoping that code black is not just a utility failure like it said on the badge, cause if it is we are in for a long hour...

Amanda, please post what the heck Code Black turned out to be. I watched the teaser and totally wanted to see the show. Yay for a new blog!!!
Great to read about the Mestlers. I, too, was intrigued by the Code Black episode of Grey's Anatomy. I don't want to spoil any surprises to you or Mama Lutz, but it was good. Make sure you see it. Look forward to more from the Mestlers! Miss you very much:)
